Jurukir Dive Resort offers a unique experience for the local as well as international visitor. As the name suggest, ‘Jurukir’ in Malay language means a person who carves. Therefore, while we are providing accommodation we also very proud in promoting a unique Malaysian arts and culture to the visitor especially wood carving.

In addition to provide lodging and fun water activities to visitor, the objective of the resort also includes showcasing its intricate interior design with the use timber carving and pragmatic building design. We hope to evoke people awareness of our traditional woodcarving heritage by showing how it is used and applied into the buildings. This is also in line with government declaration that District of Besut is a centre for woodcarving production in Malaysia.

JDR is operated by Pakatan Juru Ukir Tradisional which is dubbed as ‘The Royal Carver’ by The Discovery Channel Asia Pasific as well as woodcarving critics due to their outstanding works in woodcarving industry second to none.
